Pebeo Fantasy Paints - a demonstration

On the 2nd month of each quarter, the North Tampa Arts League meets at the Life Enrichment Center for a workshop This month Pat Beebe demonstrated her techniques for working with Pebeo Fantasy paints: Moon, Prisme and Vitrail. She painted an underwater scene in 1 hour that demonstrated how these self-manipulating paints work together to create interesting textures.
Here is the underwater scene after the 1 hour demo. It will need to dry overnight before the finishing touches can be added. It will then need to dry horizontally for a couple of weeks before it can be displayed vertically.

Free Art Talk! A Photo Journey Through Old Car City USA with David Beebe

Old Car City #29 - Rustbucket
The ghosts of classic cars with their rusting metal and faded paint peak out from beneath piles of fallen leaves at Old Car City USA in northwestern Georgia. What started as a family owned car dealership in 1931 closed as a salvage yard in 1972. Now it is an outdoor museum of sorts offering up amazing dioramas of nature slowly reclaiming past automotive glory. David Beebe spent a full day wandering the 34 acres with over 6 miles of trails. During this Art Talk he will share with you his favorite 100 images of the 4000 vehicles that reside there. Art Talks are free and open to the public. Brown bag lunches are always welcome. "Images From The Mediterranean" - Patricia Beebe's one artist show of 11 original paintings will feature her artwork inspired by our 2015 adventure from Venice Italy, through Croatia, Montenegro and the Greek Islands to Athens Greece. Gino's is a family-owned and operated treasure of an Italian restaurant located in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Tampa.

The Jimmie B Keel library was dedicated to the community as a Valentine's Day gift in 2001. Pat donated a mixed media of a cactus with a paper flower and a poppies on Yupo paper. David started with a photo of a cross-section of a Tulip and made 2 prints. He cut the flower from the top print and curved its edges outward with small pieces of foam core.

Love You Mom, a portrait of a mother Roseate Spoonbill and one of her chicks was photographed at the zoo. Wild wading birds often build their nest over alligator ponds to protect their young from predators.
